Both western "dog" hunting and eastern "hog" hunting are presented in stunning realistic terrain locations, determined by combing the country for the best locations to represent the sport. The animal behavior has been modeled in the most realistic way utilizing the expertise of serious hunters. With the help and close cooperation of the Varmint Hunters Association the game is as realistic as possible and offers a great introduction into this fast growing sport. ISE has demonstrated to the world that realistic ballistics and real world animal behavior is the key to an enjoyable game which not only creates hours of fun and entertainment, but can teach the new hunter an enormous amount about the sport, which can then be taken into the field on their first hunt. At the same time, real world ballistics will serve the long time hunter in practicing wind reading and how to best utilize the ballistic characteristics of the many varmint calibers, guns and optics in use today.
The game will teach the player how to approach a "dog town" and work that town to achieve stimulating shooting. It will also teach the player stalking techniques needed when the target is a wary groundhog.
Because the trigger is pulled often in varmint hunting, the world of reloading is frequently an integral part of the sport. NRA Varmint Hunter will teach the player how to fine tune their gun and build hand loads for maximum accuracy. The game also offers many of the better "factory" guns and vastly improved "factory" ammo, specifically designed for long ranges, so the player can make that once in a lifetime 1000 yard shot. All of the fun and extreme competitiveness of this fast growing sport is included in NRA Varmint Hunter.
